1. About these Terms

These Terms govern the Black Sheep Radio Discord bot (the “Bot”), operated by Ellie for Black Sheep Radio. The Bot provides station announcements, now-playing information, DJ and song-request tools, links to the Black Sheep Radio player, and related Discord features.

These Terms apply only to the Bot. They do not govern the Black Sheep Radio website, dashboard, or player. The Bot is independently maintained and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord Inc.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By installing, configuring, or using the Bot, you agree to these Terms and the Bot Privacy Policy. You must satisfy Discord’s minimum-age requirements and comply with Discord’s applicable terms, policies, and Community Guidelines.

You may invite, install, or configure the Bot only in a server where you have authority to do so. Commands that register or unregister a notification channel require Discord’s Manage Server permission.

3. Authorized servers

Black Sheep Radio controls which Discord servers may use the Bot. A station administrator must authorize a server ID before the Bot is invited. If the Bot joins a server that is not authorized, it may leave automatically.

Authorization is permission to use the Bot under these Terms; it is not an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or guarantee of continued access. Black Sheep Radio may revoke authorization or direct the Bot to leave a server. When the Bot leaves a partner server, its authorization is removed.

4. Partner-server features

In an authorized partner server, the Bot may:

• Announce when a registered DJ begins a show;
• Post current DJ, show, track, artist, and available album-art information;
• Send embeds, links, generated images, and a Tune In button; and
• Deliver announcements to a channel selected with the Bot’s registration command.

Registration selects the notification channel. Unregistering removes that channel selection and stops broadcasts to it, but does not remove the Bot from the server. Station administrators may centrally disable broadcasts to partner servers even while commands remain available.

5. Official-server and DJ features

The Black Sheep Radio official Discord provides additional features for registered DJs and authorized station personnel. Depending on their permissions, they may start or end a live DJ session, manage show descriptions, preview announcements, control song-request availability, and accept or deny requests.

Access is determined using the registered DJ’s Discord user ID. Certain controls may also be available through a separate station management interface, but that interface is not governed by these Terms.

6. Broadcast voice channel

When station administrators enable the feature and configure a broadcast voice channel, the Bot may join that channel while a DJ is live and relay the Black Sheep Radio stream. It leaves when the show ends, the feature is disabled, or the configured channel changes or becomes unavailable.

The Bot is self-deafened and is not designed to listen to, record, transcribe, or store participant conversations. Voice-channel availability and delivery are not guaranteed.

7. Submitted content

DJs and users are responsible for show descriptions, song requests, requester names, and other content they submit for use with the Bot. You must have the right to provide that content and must not use it to violate law, Discord’s rules, or another person’s rights.

By submitting content, you permit the Bot and Black Sheep Radio to process, display, and transmit it as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant features.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use or attempt to use the Bot to:

• Break applicable law or Discord’s rules;
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, or harm another person;
• Misrepresent an affiliation with Black Sheep Radio;
• Spam commands, requests, messages, or notifications;
• Circumvent server authorization or access controls;
• Gain unauthorized access to the Bot, its credentials, data, or systems; or
• Exploit, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Bot or its supporting services.

9. Suspension and removal

A server owner or authorized administrator may remove the Bot through Discord. Black Sheep Radio may suspend features, revoke server authorization, or remove the Bot when reasonably necessary to protect the Bot, station, users, services, or reputation; respond to abuse or security concerns; comply with legal obligations; or enforce these Terms.

A server owner may request a review through the support channel below. A review does not guarantee restoration.

10. External services and links

The Bot depends on Discord, Railway, Live365, Apple services used for fallback album artwork, and other supporting infrastructure. Those services have their own terms and policies.

The Tune In button may open the Black Sheep Radio player. The player is a separate service and is not covered by these Bot Terms.

11. Availability and changes to the Bot

The Bot is provided free of charge and on an “as available” basis. Continuous availability, error-free operation, delivery of every notification, accuracy of third-party information, compatibility with every server, and continued availability of any feature are not guaranteed.

Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed because of development, maintenance, outages, rate limits, safety concerns, or changes to supporting services.

12. Disclaimers and limitation

To the extent permitted by law, the Bot is provided without warranties of any kind. Ellie and Black Sheep Radio are not responsible for delayed or missing notifications, inaccurate third-party information, unavailable artwork, interrupted streams, Discord administrator actions, or failures caused by third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the Bot, its features, or supporting services change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may also be announced through the Bot or the Black Sheep Radio official Discord. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means that you accept them.

They do not govern the Black Sheep Radio Discord bot, which is covered by the Bot tab above.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms and the Website & Dashboard Privacy Policy. You must meet any minimum-age requirements applicable to services you use with the Website, including Discord.

You may listen to the public player without signing in. Discord sign-in and dashboard access are optional and subject to the additional restrictions below.

3. Discord sign-in and account security

Discord sign-in identifies your account but does not guarantee access to restricted station features. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Discord account and any active Website session. You must not share access, impersonate another person, or attempt to use another person’s permissions.

Notify Black Sheep Radio promptly if you believe your account or session has been compromised. Access may be suspended, sessions may be invalidated, and protective action may be taken while a concern is investigated.

4. Dashboard access and authority

The dashboard is intended only for registered DJs and authorized station personnel. Available features depend on the permissions assigned by Black Sheep Radio. Access may be granted, changed, restricted, or revoked at any time.

You may use only the features you are authorized to use and only for legitimate Black Sheep Radio operations. Attempting to bypass access controls or obtain another user’s privileges is prohibited.

5. Operational actions

Dashboard actions can affect the live station, the Discord bot, partner Discord servers, song requests, public station information, announcements, and broadcast settings. Users must confirm the intended action and relevant live-show conditions before submitting it.

Some actions are not instantaneous because the Website, Bot, Discord, Live365, and other services exchange updates. Do not repeatedly submit an action solely because its result is not immediately visible.

6. Submitted content

Users may submit song requests, requester names, DJ names, show descriptions, schedules, server labels, images, and other station content. You are responsible for content you submit and must have the right to provide it.

You may not submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, malicious, or privacy-invasive content. By submitting content, you permit Black Sheep Radio to store, process, modify for technical presentation, and display or transmit it as reasonably necessary to provide Website, station, and Bot features.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use or attempt to use the Website to:

• Break applicable law or another service’s rules;
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, deceive, or harm another person;
• Submit spam, malicious files, or disruptive requests;
• Gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, features, or systems;
• Probe, exploit, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Website; or
• Misrepresent an affiliation with Black Sheep Radio.

8. Monitoring and enforcement

Administrative actions and authentication events may be recorded for security, accountability, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Authorized administrators may review those records.

Black Sheep Radio may remove content, deny requests, reverse or restrict actions, invalidate sessions, suspend access, or revoke permissions when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the station, Website, Bot, users, or third parties; investigate misuse; or enforce these Terms.

9. External services

The Website depends on services including Discord, Railway, Live365, and Apple services used for fallback artwork. Their operation is outside Black Sheep Radio’s control and may be governed by their own terms and policies.

10. Availability

The Website is provided on an “as available” basis. Black Sheep Radio does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, preservation of every submission, accuracy of third-party information, or immediate synchronization among the Website, Bot, station stream, and Discord.

Features may be changed, suspended, or removed because of development, maintenance, outages, safety concerns, or changes to supporting services.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Website is provided without warranties of any kind. Ellie and Black Sheep Radio are not responsible for interruptions, delayed updates, inaccurate third-party information, unavailable content, actions by account or server administrators, or failures caused by third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the Website, station operations, or supporting services change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may also be announced through the Website or the Black Sheep Radio official Discord. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means that you accept them.
